a night in the life: nate and emma

These are all from an evening with two of my college friends, Liz and Rick (I can't seem to stop calling him Ricky), who subsequently married after college and produced first one adorable child, then more recently, another. I love taking my camera along on nights without a scheduled shoot, and get to capture kids in their natural habitat setting: dinner, a little drum time, streaking the hallways, bath-time and bedtime. (Love you lchillin.)

Nate is such a wonderful, and surprisingly gentle, big brother.

He knows all the names of the different drums and takes playing along to the Mary Poppins soundtrack very seriously.
